Something I don’t mention very often are the books I work on …but what an adventure it’s been over the last few years to work with Helen on the story of her husband, Geoff Glanville.

He was an infamous white-collar criminal but he turned his life around when they established Second Chances SA, a charity that supports people in prison and their families.

Helen’s efforts have attracted some great publicity and I'm really delighted for her.

As I'm so often reminded during my interviews, the tough economic times we speak of these days are relative. Life is still extremely good for so many of us and we can afford to be generous towards those who are struggling.

Everybody's different but the thing all my interviewees have in common is families who love them to pieces.
